Bio:

Dr. Chen received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan, in 1983, his MS in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechanic University, N.Y., NY, U.S.A. in 1988, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, Houston, TX, U.S.A. in 1993. He has worked as a Post-doctoral research associate at the Department of Orthopaedics, University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, TX, U.S.A. He joined the faculty of Department of Biomedical Engineering, Chung Yuan Christian University from 1993 to 2009 as associate professor, professor and department chairman. He then joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Institute of Manufacturing Technology, National Taipei University of Technology in 2009 as a professor.
