Bio

Professor Chih-Hung G. Li obtained his B.S. degree in Power Mechanical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University in 1990 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1994 and 1998, respectively. From 1998 to 2002, he worked as an engineering specialist at Parker-Lord, focusing on the development of high-tech dynamic control systems. In addition, he was involved in the development of several startups and has extensive experience in product development and project management.

From 2002 to 2017, he served at Minghsin University of Science and Technology, holding positions such as Director of the Office of International Affairs and Director of the Automated Vehicle and Equipment Development Center. From 2017 to 2020, Professor Li served as the Associate Dean for the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at National Taipei University of Technology.

His research interests mainly focus on Industry 4.0, intelligent robotics and transportation systems, innovative and optimized mechanical systems, and applied mechanics. He has actively participated in numerous development projects, including smart manufacturing systems, intelligent mobile robots, innovative actuators, precision robotic localization and manipulation, and visual object detection and inspection. He is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed academic articles and the inventor of dozens of international patents for innovative mechanical structures.
